Online & Mobile Security
How 360FCU Protects You.
360FCU makes every effort to ensure that your financial information is safe and secure. Our systems are monitored, constantly updated and we use multi-layered security. However, the security of your personal information does not rely on technology alone. Ultimately, when dealing with fraudulent activity, each of us has the responsibility to protect ourselves.
360FCU will NEVER contact you via unsolicited e-mail, text or phone asking for confidential or sensitive personal information, like your Account number, password, PIN, Social Security number, credit card number, name, address or birth-date. Please contact us if you ever receive a request for personal information that claims to be from us or that concerns you in any way.
Web24 alerts.
Web24 has a built-in security feature that will automatically contact you when a potentially fraudulent event happens to your Web24 Security settings. Web24 is automatically configured to send you notification any time the delivery channels for Security Alerts is modified. The communications will include the following phrase; “your security alert preferences were changed”. This would be the first indication that your security might have been compromised if you didn’t initiate the change yourself. To maintain the delivery channels for Security Alerts; login to Web24, click on “Security” from the left menu, then click on the “Alerts” tab. Here is where you will enter as many delivery channels as you have available.
You can select additional alerts if you feel you need to heighten your awareness. Some of the Security Alerts that are available for you to select include;
- Alert me when a computer/browser is successfully registered
- Alert me when an invalid password for my login ID is submitted
- Alert me when my user login is locked out
- And more.
How you can protect yourself.
Even with all of the security 360FCU has in place, it is important for you take appropriate security measures to protect your information and ensure that your hardware or system integrity is not compromised when engaging in online activities.
Your Web24 password:
- should be, 8 or more characters and include ALL of the following types of characters; uppercase, lowercase, numeric and special (~!#$%^&*). For example: SecuR32!Z
- should not be based on user-id, personal phone number, birthday or other personal information.
- must be kept confidential and not be divulged to anyone.
- must be memorized and not be recorded anywhere.
- should be changed on a regular basis.
- should not be used for other websites, applications or services.
Other tips
- Select “Give me one-time access only” after you enter your Secure Access Code in Web24. This will force you to get a secure access code each time you login which is more secure than activating the computer for later use.
- Check your account balance and transactions frequently and report discrepancies to 360FCU immediately.
- Always use encrypted e-mail to send confidential information to 360FCU. We strongly encourage you to use either Secure Messaging within Web24 or our Secure eMail link located on our Contact Us page when transmitting any sensitive (financial or personal)information to us.
- Keep your information with us current. If your address or phone number changes, please let us know. If we detect potentially fraudulent or unauthorized activity on your account, we will attempt to contact you immediately.

- Update the anti-virus and firewall products with security patches or newer versions on a regular basis.

- Log off your Web24 session and turn off the computer when not in use.
- Do not install software or run programs of unknown origin.
- Do not open email attachments from strangers. Delete junk or chain emails.
- Never disclose personal, financial or credit card information to little known or suspect websites.
- Do not use a computer or a device which cannot be trusted like a public or internet café computer to access Web24 or perform financial transactions.
Mobile banking security.
Don’t be afraid of using your mobile device to connect to Web24. Just be sure to practice safe behaviors and keep track of your devices. With a little common sense mobile banking can be convenient and secure. Here are some rules you should follow to make sure your confidential information remains safe when using Web24 mobile banking.
Know where your mobile device is.
The biggest risk to having a mobile device is their mobility… they’re so easy to carry around everywhere we go. They can contain everything we need from passwords to contacts to our appointments. But this information can be dangerous if your mobile device falls into the wrong hands.
Lock it and use a PIN!
If your device has a digital locking mechanism – use it. Some require you to trace a pattern or enter a PIN. While it might slow you down each time you want to use your phone, that layer of security might be enough to keep a thief from accessing your account before you can report your phone missing.
Avoid Public Networks.
Many mobile devices allow you to connect to different networks, including Wi-Fi networks. Public connections aren’t very secure – most places that offer a public Wi-Fi hotspot warn users not to input sensitive information over the network. If you need to access your account information, you should switch to another network. If you’re using a smartphone or other cell device, disabling the Wi-Fi and switching to a cellular network is a good solution.
Watch Your Apps.
You need to be very careful when downloading apps – not just banking apps, but all apps. Do research before you download that next game to be sure the app developer has a good reputation. Beware, if you’ve jail-broken an iPhone (Jailbreaking is the process of removing the limitations imposed by Apple so users gain root access to the operating system, allowing them to download additional applications, extensions, and themes that are unavailable through the official Apple App Store). or side-loaded unapproved apps, (Side-loading is the process of transferring data between two local devices, in particular between a computer and a mobile device.) you could be vulnerable.
Beware of phishing.
Never follow a link sent to you in a text message or e-mail, unless you sent it to your mobile device through Web24. Unsolicited links could potentially lead you to a spoofed website. If you enter your information into a spoofed site, you just handed your data over to thieves.
Practice Safe Mobile Banking.
Navigate to the Web24 mobile site directly. Enter the Web address into your phone and bookmark it. This will help you avoid bogus Web sites. Never allow your mobile device to “remember” your user name or password. This may be a slight inconvenience but if your device gets lost you will have the piece of mind that your account information isn’t compromised. And finally, when you are done using Web24, be sure to Sign Off and close the browser.
Please check our website often to see if there is any new information regarding mobile banking and staying secure. With the way technology evolves you never know when a new threat is looming.
